Cast Expands for David Arquette’s Glutton

Some casting news has come in for the psychological thriller Glutton, which is being directed by David Arquette, and it looks like the old adage of “the family that plays together stay together” is in full operation here seeing as Arquette has tapped one of his famous sisters for a lead role.
According to Variety Patricia Arquette (pictured right, “Medium”) and Kacey Barnfield (Resident Evil: Afterlife) have joined “ER” alum Abraham Benrubi to play the two female leads in Glutton, which will be released in glorious 3D. Kenny Yakkel wrote the script, which stars Benrubi as a 1,200-pound bedridden man. P. Arquette will play his sister and caretaker, while Barnfield will play a blind neighbor who’s his only friend.
Stan Spry and Cameron Larson are producing along with R. Scott Reid, Steve Ecclesine and Lawreen Yakkel, while Arquette will executive produce through his Coquette Prods. banner.
“Patricia Arquette has always been our top choice for the role of Kate, even before David came on to direct, as she is an incredible and sympathetic actress that brings a very unique strength and fragility to the role,” said Spry, who added that “Kacey Barnfield is an amazingly talented and beautiful up-and-coming British actress whose passion and creative flare is perfect for the role of Virginia.”
Glutton, which is described as being in the vein of Misery, is slated to start production in July in Canada. Look for more soon.
