Exclusive: Ryde Trailer and Stills Will Make You Fear Ride Sharing Apps

Ride sharing apps are all the rage these days. They’re incredibly convenient in terms of payment, accessibility and use. Their rise in popularity over the last few years has been nothing short of explosive and it’s about time filmmakers use them as plot devices. For horror, that means we get to see all sorts of stories about kidnapping and abductions, stalking, and whatever else clever writers can come up with!

Today, we’re bringing you a first look at one such movie by the name of Ryde. Below we’ve got an exclusive look at the trailer as well as a few stills from the film!

Directed by Brian Visciglia, who wrote the script with Kat Silva and co-writer Dustin Frost, Ryde stars David Wachs and Jessica Serfaty. It comes to select theaters and VOD on September 15th.

Synopsis:
A hip, new ride share service app called RYDE is taking over and dominating the taxi industry. It’s less expensive and capturing followers with it’s fun and casual “friend giving you a ride” vibe. It’s the latest and coolest app out there…. But is it safe? Everyone is going to find out when a psychopath hacks the identity of a Ryde driver. Now everyone who uses the app will be at the mercy of this maniac. Getting a ride form Ryde might be just be a few clicks away, but getting out of the car alive may not be so easy…
