Hellboy Reboot Gets Its Major Ben Daimio
Deadpool villain Ed Skrein (he played Francis) has joined the ranks of the B.P.R.D. for Neil Marshall’s Hellboy! Per THR, Skrein will be playing Major Ben Daimio, a soldier for the B.P.R.D. who has the ability to turn into a jaguar when he’s pissed off or inflicted with pain.
Skrein joins David Harbour, who will play Hellboy, Ian McShane, who plays Professor Broom, and Milla Jovovich, who plays the villainess of the film.
This film will see Hellboy, “…squaring off against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind.”
Hellboy is based on a script by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Mike Mignola, who is the creator of the Hellboy universe. The latest draft was done by Aron Coleite (“Heroes”, “Star Trek: Discovery”).
Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin are producing along with Mike Richardson of Dark Horse Entertainment. Millennium Films and Lionsgate are making the film.
