Horror legend John Carpenter has made a double announcement today, the first of which is a new album titled Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998. The album will feature 13 tracks from the director’s films during this period, including Christine, Big Trouble in Little China, Vampires, Halloween, Escape From New York, and more. The album will be coming out October 20th via Sacred Bones Records and is available for pre-order right here.

Per Sacred Bones, “Each theme has been newly recorded with the same collaborators that Carpenter worked with on his hit Lost Themes studio albums: his son, Cody Carpenter, and godson, Daniel Davies.

The other announcement is that Carpenter is going to embark on a fall tour! The full tour schedule can be found below. Tickets are sprouting up on Ticketmaster, so keep an eye there if you want to see the show OR contact the venue directly as they may have tickets for sale already. I recommend going the latter route.
