The Date is Set For When Hellraiser: Revelations Will Tear Your Soul Apart

If you’ve been following coverage of Hellraiser: Revelations on Dread Central, then you’ve been hearing a lot about how legendary the suffering will be for all those that dare watch it. Now we can tell you when you’ll get your chance to experience this movie hell for yourself.
Two friends in Mexico discover the Lament Configuration and unleash Pinhead, but one decides to try to survive by swapping himself with someone else. Once they go missing, family members go in search of them but find Pinhead instead.
If you haven’t read our early review or listened to Dinner for Fiends tales of the astounding awfulness of this quickie direct-to-DVD cash-in that features multiple Pinheads and none of them are Doug Bradley, then the news of a new Hellraiser sequel might sound like good news to you. For everyone that has been keeping tabs, some have already vowed to never watch it and others cannot resist the temptation to see if the horrendous word-of-mouth is true.
All will be revealed on October 18, 2011.
Mark that date on your calendar. Hellraiser: Revelations (review here) is heading for DVD shelves just in time for Halloween to be the cinematic razorblade in your trick or treat candy. The sequel is being released under the Dimension Extreme label, though I wouldn’t expect this one to get too extreme since Amazon lists the rating as R (no unrated version) and the running time at a scant 75 minutes.
