Friday the 13th: The Game Wins a Guinness World Record
Since its release back in May, Friday the 13th: The Game has gone on to be a huge success, selling over 1.8 million copies worldwide in addition to earning mostly positive reviews. It now has another noteworthy achievement under its belt, as we are proud to report that it has won the Guinness World Record for “Most Crowdfunded Videogame Based on a Movie.”
This was revealed in the Guinness World Records 2018 Gamer’s Edition book, with a fan tweeting an image of the page on which it appears (thanks to Comic Book.com for the info).
All of us here at Dread Central would like to offer our congratulations to everyone at Gun Media for this incredible achievement. If you have yet to experience the sensation that is Friday the 13th: The Game, it’s available to buy on its official website, or if you prefer, you can wait until next month, when a physical edition will be hitting stores.
