UK Release Details, DVD Art, and Exclusive Photos from Dennis Bartok’s Feature Nails
Just ahead of its US bow (details forthcoming), we’ve received UK release details and exclusive photos from filmmaker Dennis Bartok’s supernatural feature Nails, releasing this October via Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment on DVD and VOD.
Directed and co-written by Trapped Ashes writer and producer Bartok, Nails (review) stars Shauna Macdonald (of The Descent series), Russ Noble (Stitches), Steve Wall, Richard Foster (It Never Sleeps), and Leah McNamara (Cherry Tree).
The film revolves around “…track star Dana Milgrom (Macdonald), who, having survived a near-death car accident, finds herself almost completely paralyzed and trapped inside her own body. While recovering, she becomes convinced that some evil presence exists inside her hospital room and is intent on killing her. No one believes her – not even her own family, who think she’s experienced a mental breakdown. However, Dana soon realizes she may not be the only target. As the hauntings become more disturbing and violent, Dana’s life is increasingly at risk – as well as the person she cares most about: her teenage daughter, Gemma.”
Executive produced by Joseph Kaufman (Assault on Precinct 13) and produced by Brendan McCarthy (Cherry Tree, The Hallow), Nails releases in the UK on TVOD/EST October 9th and on DVD (with a making-of featurette) October 16th, with a US release coming shortly on its heels. We’ll bring you news on that shortly. In the interim, check out some exclusive stills and the DVD art below.
