Boo! 2: A Madea Halloween Tries to Creep It Real with a Slew of New Posters

Whenever we do an article about Tyler Perry’s Boo! 2: A Madea Halloween, we are inevitably greeted with a chorus of complainers wanting to know why we are covering this film. The answer is twofold, and you’re probably not going to like it…

First and foremost, while it may not specifically be a horror movie, the Boo! movies are very much Halloween movies that take more than a few cues from popular horror movies.

More importantly, and please don’t shoot the messenger for being the one to break this news to you, Boo! 2: A Madea Halloween is probably going to make more money than Happy Death Day and Jigsaw – maybe even combined. Heck, the first Madea Halloween made almost as much money as the last two Saw movies combined. If Boo! 2 proves as big a hit as its predecessor, instead of Saw, Tyler Perry might keep cranking out sequels to the point we find ourselves saying, “If it’s Halloween, it must be Madea.

Bet you’re scurred now!

The sequel sees Madea, Bam, and Hattie venturing to a haunted campground, where they wind up running for their lives once monsters, goblins, and boogeymen appear. Gonna venture a guess there’s also lots of crude humor, pot jokes, and at some point somebody will be told very bluntly why they need to find Jesus.

The film stars Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely, Yousef Erakat, Lexy Panterra, Andre Hall, Diamond White, Brock O’Hurn, Tito Ortiz, and Tyler Perry.

One thing the first Boo! was good for was its outstanding parody posters that were more clever than anything in the actual movie. This year’s crop of posters I must admit are nowhere near as good as last year’s “Hellurween” poster.

Tyler Perry’s Boo! 2: A Madea Halloween opens October 20th. Geostorm opens the same day, and something tells me it’ll be way funnier.
