The powers-that-be have confirmed today that Polaroid will indeed be released on December 1, 2017… unless it’s bumped again. When it comes to Dimension Films and the Weinsteins, we’ll believe it when we see it.

Polaroid has been given a PG-13 for “violence/terror, thematic elements, brief strong language, some teen drinking and drug material, along with imminent postponement.

Polaroid stars Kathryn Prescott (“Finding Carter”), Mitch Pileggi (“The X-Files”), Grace Zabriskie (The Grudge, “Santa Clarita Diet”), Tyler Young (Eyewitness), Keenan Tracey (“Bates Motel”), Samantha Logan (“The Fosters”), Priscilla Quintana (Stranded), Madelaine Petsch (“Riverdale”), and Javier Botet (The Conjuring 2, Mama, IT).

Norwegian director Lars Klevberg shot the film from a screenplay by Blair Butler. Dimension Films optioned the rights after Klevberg’s short made a splash at festivals and won Best Short for him and Best Cinematography for Pål Ulvik Rokseth at the Los Angeles Horror Competition short film festival.

Look for Polaroid… probably never.
