New Slumber Trailer Brings the Original Nightmare to Life
It’s been awhile since we’ve gotten an update on the supernatural thriller Slumber, starring Maggie Q, but now that the film has an official release date, a trailer has arrived as well.
Look for director Jonathan Hopkins’ Slumber here in the States on December 1st courtesy of Vertical Entertainment. Kristen Bush and Sam Troughton co-star.
Richard Hobley and Hopkins’ screenplay charts the story of Alice (Maggie Q), a sleep doctor who is forced to abandon scientific reason and accept a family is being terrorized by a demon that paralyzes victims as they sleep.
The film is produced by The Tea Shop & Film Company’s Mark Lane and James Harris and by Pascal Degove for Goldcrest Films.

Synopsis:
Alice is a rational-minded sleep doctor, haunted by the mysterious nocturnal death of her younger brother. While performing a routine examination on a traumatized family with sleeping problems, Alice is attacked by the father in his sleep. The father is arrested and blamed for causing the family’s sleep issues, but when he is thrown into jail and the problems get progressively worse, Alice is forced to abandon scientific rationale and accept that the family is being terrorized by a parasitic demon who feeds on the weak while they sleep: the Night Hag. In order to defeat the dark spirit who was also responsible for her brother’s death, Alice must journey into her own nightmares and confront her childhood demons.
