Tyler Mane’s Chopper Goes Viral

Spooky things are happening on the front of Tyler Mane and Rockstar Energy Drink’s Mayhem Festival web series Chopper, as you’ll see from this latest viral video that gives you a good reason to stay the hell out of the pit!
From the Press Release: DILEMMA, a Los Angeles-based Branded Entertainment and Marketing Communications Agency, has secured a cross-promotional partnership with the premiere hard rock and heavy metal event of the summer, the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, to launch ‘Chopper’ – a horror web series and transmedia entertainment experience that will feature a rocking soundtrack and international fright icon Tyler Mane (Rob Zombie’s Halloween 1 and 2)
Chopper is essentially a contemporary spin on the timeless Sleepy Hollow mythology with storylines revolving around a headless outlaw biker seeking vengeance in the afterlife by killing mortal sinners. The project’s creative team includes Nina Bargiel – the transmedia producer of MTV’s hit online horror series ‘Valemont’ – and marks the first production from a slate of branded programming that DILEMMA plans to start distributing across a variety of traditional and non-traditional channels this year.
For Chopper, DILEMMA has worked closely with Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival’s team to create brand integration opportunities that expand beyond traditional cross-promotions. The collaboration has resulted in festival themed sub-plots and related “backstage” characters being interwoven into actual series’ storylines. DILEMMA founder J.C. Christofilis added, “I have a genuine passion for horror and heavy metal, and my intent has always been to create an experience that truly merges the best of both these worlds with an innovative, cross-platform narrative. I believe the combination of placing iconic Hollywood talent from the horror genre against the premier backdrop for world-class bands such Disturbed and Godsmack will make for an insane cocktail of gut-wrenching gore and ear-splitting tunes that fans won’t want to miss.”
Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is produced by Rockstar Uproar organizer John Reese, Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman and CAA. Kevin Lyman noted, “Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival 2011 is a true mix of molten veterans and smoldering up-and-comers, who are bringing their ‘A’ games and giving the fans nothing less of an amazing day.” Plans to interweave Chopper into the tour experience include storylines that will feature numerous band interactions. In addition, festival correspondent, radio personality and metal scene icon, Full Metal Jackie, will be featured and open a deeper dialogue with fans via her radio show.
