From the Press Release:
Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Ocean City is excited to announce a ghost hunt on Saturday, October 21. Ripley’s has invited the Society of the Supernatural, S.O.S., to investigate the Odditorium.

“With over 500 exhibits from around the world sitting inside a building which is around 90-years old, paranormal activity has to be present,” says Brandon Ely, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Ocean City general manager.

From 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, the Society of the Supernatural will be at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Ocean City for a book signing. The investigators will also discuss previous ghost hunts they have conducted at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Ocean City and Panama City Beach, Florida. Tickets are $10. Following that event, S.O.S. will then launch a new investigation of the Odditorium.

“Since we’ve arrived at Ripley’s Ocean City, we along with some of our other employees have had experiences we cannot explain,” says Audra Ely, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Ocean City group sales and marketing manager. “We have actual footage of strange happenings inside the Odditorium that we just cannot explain other than paranormal.”

The October 21 paranormal investigation with S.O.S. will be posted to YouTube and Periscope for the public to view. “We hope to eventually incorporate public investigations inside our Odditorium,” says Brandon. “We would love to let our guests have a chance to experience some of what we do on a daily basis.”

The Society of the Supernatural comes with long time experience and an extensive background.

Here’s a look at the investigators and their background with the paranormal:

David Weatherly (Brainwaves Horror and Paranormal Talk Radio interview here)

David Weatherly is a renaissance man of the strange and supernatural. He has traveled the world in pursuit of ghosts, cryptids, UFOs, magic and more. From the specters of dusty castles to remote haunted islands, from ancient sites to modern mysteries, he has journeyed to the most unusual places on the globe seeking the unknown. David became fascinated with the paranormal at a young age. Ghost stories and accounts of weird creatures and UFOs led him to discover many of his early influences. Writers such as John Keel, Jacques Vallee, Hans Holzer and others set him on course to spend his life exploring and investigating the unexplained. Throughout his life, David’s also delved into shamanic and magical traditions from around the world, spending time with elders from numerous cultures in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. He has studied Taoist masters in China, Tibetan Lamas and other mystics from the Far East. David picked up knowledge from African and Native American tribal elders and sat around fires with shaman from countless other traditions. Along his path, David has also gathered a lot of arcane knowledge, studying a range of ancient arts from palmistry, the runes and other obscure forms of divination to alchemy and magic.

In 2012, David founded the independent media and publishing company, Leprechaun Productions.

David has been a featured speaker at conferences around the world and has lectured for countless paranormal, UFO and spiritual groups. He is a frequent guest on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory, Darkness Radio and other radio programs. David has also appeared on numerous television shows including Ancient Aliens, Mysteries at the National Parks and Beyond Belief. David’s books include “Strange Intruders”, “Black Eyed Children,” and the “Haunted” series. To find David online, visit: http://twocrowsparanormal.blogspot.com or http://www.leprechaunpress.com.

Dave Spinks

Dave Spinks has been researching and investigating the paranormal in various aspects since 1986, due to several experiences he had as a young man. He retired from over a 20-year career in the U.S. military and federal law enforcement. Since 2011, he has investigated the paranormal on a full-time basis, conducting several hundred investigations. He has investigated some of the most notoriously haunted locations in the United States and even a few in Europe. Dave has investigated numerous private residences and has witnessed some of the most hair raising and unnerving things one can imagine while investigating the paranormal. His sole purpose in investigating the paranormal is to answer some of man’s greatest questions: Is there life after death? Are we alone in the universe? Are there unknown creatures walking among us? He believes there is, and that alone is his motivation.

Dave has been a featured guest on numerous syndicated radio shows, podcasts as well as many live web shows, including Coast to Coast AM, Darkness radio, Paranormal Zone T.V. and Discovery’s Destination America. He is often requested to be a guest at paranormal conferences as well as a guest speaker on many topics in the supernatural realm. Dave has also recently penned his first book and has a second already in the works.

Sean Austin (Brainwaves Horror and Paranormal Talk Radio interview here)

Although Sean Austin had always wholeheartedly believed in the paranormal, becoming an investigator was by mistake. After six years of unexplained, science-fiction like experiences that still baffle him today, Sean passionately continues his search for evidence of the unknown. Sean was a featured investigator on the pilot series, “The Demon Files”, which aired on Destination America. It was while jumping headfirst into this new realm of the supernatural that Sean triggered new medium abilities. He could now marry his own equipment with all the other types of technologically advanced man-made equipment to provide evidence of this unknown world.
