Rue Morgue and HorrorBabble Doing a Limited Audiobook of Clive Barker’s The Midnight Meat Train
Rue Morgue and YouTube channel HorrorBabble have teamed up to do a licensed horror reading of Clive Barker’s short story The Midnight Meat Train, which will go live on October 11th and run through December 6th. The reading will be done by HorrorBabble’s Ian Gordon and Jennifer Gill, who will be building, “…atmosphere by including music, background ambiences and sporadic sound effects.” A sample teaser for the event can be found below.
HorrorBabble has been growing as a YouTube channel thanks to their Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule of uploading audio readings, including, “…serialized versions of classics such as Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’, Algernon Blackwood’s ‘The Wendigo’, and just recently, Robert W. Chambers’ ‘The King in Yellow’.”
The Midnight Meat Train was adapted into a feature-length film in 2008. Directed by Ryƻhei Kitamura, it starred Bradley Cooper, Vinnie Jones, Leslie Bibb, and Brooke Shields.
