Looking forward to FX’s new terror-based TV series, “American Horror Story”, but weren’t sure if you were ever actually going to see it? Rest easy, horror hounds, good news has come.
According to Deadline FX has pulled the trigger on a series order for Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s hot drama pilot “American Horror Story” from 20th Century Fox TV.
The spooky project, which stars Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton and Jessica Lange, has been picked up for 13 episodes and is eyed for a Halloween launch with an October 5th premiere.
In creating the show, Murphy and Falchuk took inspiration from classic 1970s horror movies, including Rosemary’s Baby, Don’t Look Now and The Shining.
The highly anticipated project centers on Ben Harmon (Dylan McDermott), a handsome therapist who, along with his wife (Connie Britton) and their kids (including actress Farmiga), moves from Boston to a haunted San Francisco home in an attempt to rebuild his family after a miscarriage and affair. Frances Conroy will play their housekeeper while Alexandra Breckenridge will play a younger version of the same character.
Living next door to our protagonists are Constance (Jessica Lange) and her daughter with down syndrome who knows more about the Harmon house than everyone realizes. Denis O’Hare joins them as Larry the Burn Guy, a former resident of the home.
More as it comes.
