Abandoned Friday the 13th Sequel Would’ve Seen The Death of Jason Voorhees
In 2009 we saw the Marcus Nispel remake of Friday the 13th (review) from producer Michael Bay and his horror movie remake company Platinum Dunes. For the most part, the film is considered to be one of the better remakes out there, and not surprisingly, there was once a sequel in the works. But that didn’t happen.
However, the sequel to the remake (crazy I have to type that) was again written by Freddy vs Jason and Friday the 13th (2009) scribes Damian Shannon & Mark Swift, and was called Friday the 13th Camp Blood: The Death of Jason Voorhees. F*cking cool, right?
You can check out Shannon/Swift’s tweet below and then after that join all of us here at Dread Central in staring off into space as Hall & Oates plays and we wonder just how badass this abandoned sequel would/might have been.
Because we all know hoe easy Jason is to kill, right?
It's #Friday13th week! Will try to post new fun stuff. Here's cover to our unmade sequel w/ never before published title. RT if you like! pic.twitter.com/G4GSeqkGrP
