A few days ago we told you that The Caller would be headed to theatres for a limited release here in the States, and now we’ve got the official word and first look at some new artwork. Dig it!
The Matthew Parkhill-directed thriller The Caller will be hitting select theatres on August 26th, 2011. Samuel Goldwyn Films is distributing. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will shoulder the DVD and Blu-ray release duties.
Rachel Lefevre (Twilight) stars in the film with “True Blood”‘s Stephen Moyer, Lorna Raver and Luis Guzman.
The Caller recently received an R rating for some violence/disturbing images, language and a scene of sexuality.
This supernatural thriller tells the story of troubled divorcee Mary Kee (Leferve), who is tormented by a series of sinister phone calls from a mysterious woman. When the stranger reveals she’s calling from the past, Mary tries to break off contact. But the caller doesn’t like being ignored and looks for revenge in a unique and terrifying way.
