The last word we brought you guys regarding the upcoming sequel/reboot of Predator from writer-director Shane Black was that Fox CEO Stacey Snider called the film “unexpected and utterly fresh” and confirmed that the film will be set in the suburbs this time around.

Today we have our first look at the poster/key art for The Predator.

The poster – at first glance – seems to feature lightning striking a small town, forming the head of the Predator. But upon closer inspection, you can see that this electrical charge emanates from the ground and shoots up.

Does this mean anything? Not sure. Just pointing it out. You can see for yourself in the Instagram post below. We’ll make sure to upload the art when an official version becomes available.

The Predator stars Thomas Jane, Edward James Olmos, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski, Augusto Aguilera, and Keegan-Michael Key.

Black is directing from a script by Fred Dekker. John Davis, Joel Silver, and Lawrence Gordon — who produced the original — are producing.

The Predator comes out August 3, 2018.
