Exclusive: First Look at Director Marcel Sarmiento’s Totem

Director Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl) is one of the top horror directors to keep an eye on. It is with this in mind we here at Dread Central are excited as hell to share with you guys your exclusive first look at his new film Totem.

The film is presented by Blumhouse Productions and HBO/Cinemax and stars Kerris Dorsey, Ahna O’Reilly, James Tupper, Lia McHugh, Braeden Lemasters, and Lawrence Pressman.

Totem‘s full poster will be revealed next week, but until then you can check out the first look stills below, as well as the film’s synopsis, a teaser poster and more. Make sure to let us know what you think!

The film hits U.S. VOD, Cable, and Apps Oct. 31st and VOD, Cable, and Apps internationally Nov. 3rd.

Synopsis:
A teen must resort to extreme measures to protect her family from a supernatural entity.

 

Totem is directed by Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl, VHS Viral)  from a screenplay by Evan Dickson. The film is produced by Divide/Conquer, Gunpowder & Sky, and Will Frank, and presented by Blumhouse Productions and HBO/Cinemax.

The film stars Kerris Dorsey as “Kellie”; Ahna O’Reilly as “Robin”; James Tupper as “James”; Lia McHugh as “Abby”; Braeden Lemasters as “Todd”; and Lawrence Pressman as “Bernard”.

Blumhouse and Cinemax will release the film on VOD/Cable/Apps in the U.S. on October 31st. And Blumhouse and HBO will release the film on VOD/Cable/Apps internationally starting on November 3rd.
