Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ Halloween Cover Is Out Now!

Earlier today we posted a story about an upcoming cover of John Carpenter’s classic “Halloween” theme song written, composed, and performed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The song was supposed to drop tomorrow, on Friday the 13th. However, for those of you who can’t wait, you don’t have to as the song has come online and can be listened to below!

The near eight-minute track builds slowly but surely, taking its time to enter into the all-too-familiar haunting melody that Carpenter created nearly 40 years ago. From there, the track weaves through a minimalistic approach to a scratchy, almost industrial goth presentation that is fierce and intense. If Carpenter doesn’t return to score the new Halloween film, I have a sneaking suspicion no one would be upset if Reznor and Ross took on composing duties!

If you want to snag the song, you can download it via multiple platforms right here.
