The first taste of the music from “Stranger Things: Season 2” has been released and can be heard below, courtesy of Spin. Composed by Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon of Austin-based electronic group S U R V I V E, the piece, titled “Walkin’ in Hawkings” is a light, almost airy song that captures a feeling of imagination with a dash of childlike wonder. While I was already at maximum levels of excitement for the second season, this piece just makes me want it all the more!

Invada Records and Lakeshore will be releasing the soundtrack digitally on October 20th with CD, vinyl, and cassette releases planned in the near future.

The new season kicks off October 27th on Netflix.

About “Stranger Things” Season 2:
It’s 1984, and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana, are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down; but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.
