Bizarre States hosts Jessica Chobot and Andrew Bowser have exited the podcast booth and entered the field for the series Bizarre States: Los Angeles. For three years the Bizarre States podcast has delighted fans of the paranormal, the extraterrestrial, and all things generally spooky. In this new series produced by Nerdist for the premium content service Alpha, Bizarre States offers a new dimension of entertainment to fright fans by bringing cameras to the best real haunts of Los Angeles and Southern California… just in time for Halloween!

To acquaint you with the series, we have an exclusive clip from tomorrow’s Episode 4, which focuses on The Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro, California.

Bizarre States: Los Angeles stars Chobot and Bowser as they bring their supernatural smarts and skills to a variety of spooky locations in the greater Los Angeles area. They break down the specifics of each creepy site, interviewing experts and relating their own personal findings as they get to the bottom of the funny, the weird, the haunted, and the unexpected.

Bizarre States: Los Angeles is a six-episode weekly series featuring the hosts traveling to such infamous locations as The Devil’s Gate Dam, where occultist Jack Parsons attempted to conjure the otherworldly; notoriously haunted luxury cruise ship The Queen Mary, home to “the lady in white”; Griffith Park, where victims of the “Hillside Strangler” were discovered; The Grand Warner Theatre in San Pedro, site of alleged ghostly encounters; and a variety of scenes of reported UFO sightings as well as the exact spots where historical, lurid, and headline-grabbing murders have occurred all around Los Angeles.

“I’ve had a fascination with the mysteries of the world from a very young age, and being able to bring that passion forward as entertainment for others is a dream come true,” said Bizarre States co-host Jesscia Chobot.

Co-host Andrew Bower added, “Being in the field investigating all things bizarre and paranormal, especially with a partner in crime like Jess, has been exciting, spooky, and surprising – in all the right ways!”
