Dread Central will be hosting free screenings of Mitch (The Hamiltons) Altieri’s award-winning horror comedy The Night Watchmen on Monday, November 13 in Brooklyn, New York and on Tuesday, November 14 in Los Angeles. The movie, about bumbling warehouse guards who must fend off a vampire outbreak, played over three dozen film festivals (including Montreal’s Fantasia and the NYC Horror Film Festival) to much acclaim and took home at least two dozen major prizes. Top cast and crew will be appearing at the shows in both cities!

The Night Watchmen stars Ken Arnold (“House of Cards”), Dan DeLuca (“The Wire”), Kevin Jiggetts, Max Wilbur (Thrill Kill), Kara Luiz (“Betas”), Tiffany Shepis (Night of the Demons) and James Remar (“Dexter”). Arnold co-wrote the film with DeLuca and Jamie Nash (Altered).

New Yorkers can catch The Night Watchmen (and eat a great meal in the process!) at the world-famous Brooklyn Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (445 Albee Square West; 718-513-2547) on Monday, November 13. Dread’s Tony Timpone will provide the meet & greet there. The fun begins at 7 pm at the Alamo.

DreadVision’s LA screening will take place at Hollywood’s swanky Arena Cinelounge Sunset (6464 Sunset Boulevard; 323-924-1644) on Tuesday, November 14 and will be hosted by blogger/filmmaker and Dread buddy SpookyDan Walker. Show starts at 7:30 pm.

These DreadVision Night Watchmen screenings will be free shows; to obtain tickets, send an email to screenings@dreadcentral.com. Please tell us which show you want to attend by listing “Watchmen: NY 11/13” or “Watchmen: LA 11/14” in your subject line and provide your full name. Offer is good for you and your guests. We will confirm your RSVP, but seating is not guaranteed, so arrive early.

“…this latest throwback to the decade’s horror comedies is as gloriously demented as it is meticulously reconstructed. And with an undead horde of vampire zombie clowns running amok, there’s a lot of fun to be had.”—Starburstmagazine.com

“I loved The Night Watchmen and it totally deserves full marks…It’s the horror comedy of the year. Bloody. Hilarious.”—www.deeomen.com

“This one has ALL the makings of a potential cult classic. In the what-to-watch-when-you-and-your-friends-are-pretty-drunk category…this one is Citizen Kane material!”—Horrornews.net

“A little Shaun of the Dead, a little Half Baked and it gives you an idea of what to expect…The Night Watchmen is a film that could have a nice little cult following…If you are a fan of early ’90s cheese splatter horror, then look out for this one!”—Horrormoviesuncut.com
