Lucas Till, most recently seen as “Havok” in the hugely popular X-Men: First Class, has joined the cast for Chan-wook Park’s upcoming thriller Stoker. Although only 20, Till already has an impressive heap of credits, and working with Park is another feather in his cap.
Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska, Jacki Weaver, and Matthew Goode also star in the Fox Searchlight production. Actor Wentworth Miller wrote the script under the pseudonym Ted Foulke.
Stoker is about a teen who is mourning the death of her father at the same time her mysterious uncle appears in her life.
Tony and Ridley Scott are producing through their Scott Free banner along with Michael Costigan, and the project is considered a top priority for Fox given the rising profile of Park, who steered international hits Oldboy and Thirst.
Stoker isn’t the only genre project Till is involved with. He’s a partner in the production company Grindfist, which is producing a horror film called Vacation 8, in which he stars. Jason Trost is directing, and Till’s co-stars include James Remar and Edi Gathegi. We’ll keep our ears open for more about that one as well.
