Fight the Egyptian God of the Dead in Assassin’s Creed Origins
The Assassin’s Creed franchise has always been somewhat reluctant when it comes to openly displaying fantastical elements, but that all changed with the arrival of Assassin’s Creed Origins’ new add-on, ‘Trials of the Gods’, which will feature weekly battles with deities from ancient Egyptian mythology.
First up is Anubis, the Egyptian god of the dead (until he was replaced by Osiris). As you can see in the trailer below, he’s covered in armor and big enough to crush you wish the palm of his hand, which is why Ubisoft recommend that only players at level 40 or above take him on. If you feel brave enough to fight the jackal-headed conductor of souls, his location will be marked on your map as soon as you install the ‘Trials of the Gods’ add-on.
Defeating each boss will grant you an exclusive piece of god-themed gear, and obtaining all four will grant you an exclusive legendary outfit. Anubis will only be in the game until November 14, so you’d better hurry if you want to send him back to the underworld.
