Desolation stars Dominik García-Lorido (City Island, daughter of Andy Garcia) as Katie, an abuse survivor from a small town who meets Jay (Brock Kelly, Pitch Perfect), a famous actor, at the motel where she works. Jay whisks Katie away to Los Angeles when he unexpectedly has to leave town for a film role, leaving Katie alone in his palatial apartment building.
On her lonesome, everything begins to unravel for Katie; she is robbed, her keys and wallet taken. When she reports it, the police question and then attack her. Terrified, with no money and stuck in LA, she retreats to Jay’s apartment building, where the true nightmare begins. She starts to wonder: Is her mind playing tricks on her, or is there a greater evil at play?
