Blumhouse’s Halloween Hires Its Special FX Team
The last word we brought you guys on the upcoming Blumhouse sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween was to let you know that Laurie Strode granddaughter had been cast with Andi Matichak snagging the role.
Today we have news that the Special FX team responsible for crafting Michael Myers’ new mask have been hired! Pretty cool, huh?
The team will consist of Christopher Nelson, who won an Academy Award for Suicide Squad and has also worked for “American Horror Story”, “The Cape”, “Nip/Tuck”, Deadpool, Sin City, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, Netflix’s Bright, and Avengers: Infinity War.
On top of that, we learned via Halloween Daily News that Vincent Van Dyke will co-design the mask. Van Dyke is known for Grey’s Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, Scream Queens, Dexter, The Revenant, and I, Tonya.
