Rest in Peace – Peggy Cummins

If you’ve never seen Jacques Tourneur’s 1957 classic flick Curse of the Demon (aka Night of the Demon), then you need to right that wrong immediately as it is REQUIRED viewing for horror fans. That being said, we’re sad to report that its star, Peggy Cummins, has passed on at age 92.

The news came out of London from her friend Dee Kirkwood, who told the Associated Press that Cummins died of a stroke.

Genre-wise, in addition to Demon, Cummins also starred in the noir classic Gun Crazy and Meet Mr. Lucifer.

We here at Dread Central would like to take this opportunity to offer Peggy’s friends, family members, and constituents our deepest condolences. There’s another star in our skies, and Cummins will continue to shine for decades to come. Godspeed.
