Bandai Namco’s Vampire RPG Code Vein Gets a Bloody New Trailer and Screenshots
The latest trailer for Bandai Namco’s upcoming vampire RPG Code Vein is honestly one of the most awesome things we’ve seen in a long time, so we strongly suggest that you stop whatever you’ve doing and give it a watch below.
The very bloody trailer begins with the unnamed protagonist waking up to find that he was killed and has now been resurrected as a vampire, and things just get crazier and crazier from there. This is also the first we’ve heard of the game’s English voice dubbing, with the line “We fight, we drink blood, we revive, we fight some more” bound to become iconic.
The song played in the trailer is “Vamps Underworld” by the band Vamps because, you know, it wasn’t already obvious enough that the game is about vampires.
If you missed it earlier, IGN also released an extended gameplay video that gives us an in-depth look at Code Vein’s combat, and even with Japan’s strict restrictions when it comes to graphic violence in video game, we can still tell that this is going to be one very bloody game.
Code Vein may have an anime art style, but Pokémon it ain’t.
Code Vein does not have a release date locked down, so we don’t yet know when we’ll be able to feast on the blood of our enemies. Given its extensive marketing campaign, Bandai Namco is clearly treating it as one of its biggest releases of the year (I see news articles about the game practically every day), so should it live up to the hype, we might have one of the best RPGs of 2018 on our hands.
