Sadly, no, we aren’t starting a new column featuring the thrilling bedroom antics of the Dread Central crew. Rather, we’re taking a look at yet another promotional oddity that happened to land on the desk this week.
Beneath the plain brown wrapping lay a classy, yet unassuming box. What wonders could possibly be held within? Well, in truth, nothing could have prepared for the reality of the contents…
Opening it up, we see that — aha! — it’s a promotional drop for the UK home video release of Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury’s Leatherface!
But what’s that hiding under the black wrapping? Hmm… it’s a rather large tupperware box. Guess the only thing to do is see what’s inside…
Bubble wrap, eh? Looks like the contents are delicate.
Okay, this is getting weird.
Holy. Shit.
Yes, folks — that’s an almost-life-size chocolate representation of ol’ Leatherface himself.
Spin this chunky work of art around, though, and you can see that the “blood” splattering the wrapping isn’t just an added visual touch. It’s leaking from a crack — meaning this chocolate face is actually filled with sweet, sweet liquid gore.
There are few words to describe how awesome (and, frankly, disturbing) this creation is — so here are some closer photos so you can check out all the gut-churning detail. That dead flesh color shade is something else!
