Slipping quietly into limited theatres this Friday is The Caller, and we have the verdict on whether or not you should make the effort to seek it out if you can!

The Matthew Parkhill-directed thriller The Caller will be hitting select theatres on August 26th, 2011. Samuel Goldwyn Films is distributing. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will shoulder the DVD and Blu-ray release duties.

Rachel Lefevre (Twilight) stars in the film with “True Blood”‘s Stephen Moyer, Lorna Raver (Drag Me to Hell) and Luis Guzman.

The Caller recently received an R rating for some violence/disturbing images, language and a scene of sexuality.

Synopsis
This supernatural thriller tells the story of troubled divorcee Mary Kee (Leferve), who is tormented by a series of sinister phone calls from a mysterious woman. When the stranger reveals she’s calling from the past, Mary tries to break off contact. But the caller doesn’t like being ignored and looks for revenge in a unique and terrifying way.
