Children of the Corn: Runaway Heads to Blu-ray
It’s a familiar tune by now. Every time we get a new Hellraiser movie, a new Children of the Corn flick is always hot on its heels. Surprisingly, the last Corn film was way better than anyone could have expected. Will this new one, Children of the Corn: Runaway, continue the trend?
Written by Joel Soisson (Children of the Corn: Genesis, Dracula 2000), this tenth entry into the franchise comes to us from director John Gulager (Piranha 3DD, Feast) and arrives on Blu-ray (plus Digital), DVD, Digital, and On Demand March 13th from Lionsgate. Based on the original story “Children of the Corn” by Stephen King, special features will include a deleted scene.
Synopsis:
Children of the Corn: Runaway tells the story of young, pregnant Ruth, who escapes a murderous child cult in a small Midwestern town. She spends the next decade living anonymously in an attempt to spare her son the horrors that she experienced as a child. Ruth and her son end up in a small Oklahoma town, but something is following her. Now she must confront this evil or lose her child.
