Slender Man Starring Joey King and Javier Botet Pushed Back to August
Last month we brought you guys the “generic” trailer for director Sylvain White’s upcoming Slender Man flick starring Joey King, Annalise Basso, and Javier Botet.
Check it out (again) below.
Today we have news that Screen Gems has pushed the film back three months from its original May 18, 2018, release date to a new debut on August 24, 2018.
I’m not too concerned with the release date of the film being pushed back as I’m merely waiting to hear word of mouth on the film before I bother popping it in my Blu-ray player. No sauce off my creepypasta.
How do you feel about the release date shuffle? Let us know below!
The film is directed by Sylvain White, written by David Birke (based on a character by Victor Surge), and stars Joey King, who is becoming quite the horror icon herself by appearing in films like Quarantine, The Conjuring, Wish Upon, and more. Julia Goldani-Telles, Jaz Sinclair, and Annalise Basso co-star.
Slender Man creeps into theaters August 24, 2018.
Synopsis:
In a small town in Massachusetts, four high school girls perform a ritual in an attempt to debunk the lore of SLENDER MAN. When one of the girls goes mysteriously missing, they begin to suspect that she is, in fact, HIS latest victim.
