Unbox Industries’ Judge Death Vinyl Statue is Suitably Grotesque
The failure of Dredd at the box office means that we’ll probably never see Judge Death on the big screen, but 2000 AD fans still have reason to rejoice, because collectible manufacturer Unbox Industries have unveiled a new vinyl statue of Judge Dredd’s arch-nemesis.
Unlike Dredd, who strives to uphold the law at any cost and only uses lethal force when absolutely necessary, Judge Death views life itself as being a crime worthy of death. His excessive use of dark magic eventually transforms him into a grotesque skeletal creature, and Unbox certainly haven’t shied away from depicting him in all his undead glory. As you can probably expect from a psycho who revels in death and destruction, the statue also depicts him grinning maniacally, no doubt fondly reminiscing on all the suffering he’s caused over the years.
The figure is based on artist Brian Bolland’s drawings of the character, and stands at fourteen inches. It’s made out of PVC and ABS, and comes in a beautifully illustrated cardboard box. Priced at $85.00, Unbox are accepting orders throughout January, so you don’t have a whole lot of time to get your hands on it. If you’re a 2000 AD fan, this is one product you simply can’t live without.
