Cloverfield 4 Wraps Filming and Will Be Released Later This Year

The last word we brought you guys on the Cloverfield universe was when we let you know that Netflix was possibly going to snatch up God Particle aka Cloverfield Station aka Cloverfield 3 for distribution.

While that gets figured out let’s jump right ahead to talking Cloverfield 4 shall we? Sounds good to me. Evidently not only is SlashFilm reporting that Cloverfield 4 has already been filmed, but it’s rumored the film will open later this year.

The film you may remember is called Overlord and is directed by Julius Avery (Son of a Gun) and stars Wyatt Russell (22 Jump Street) and Jovan Adepo.

We’ll let you know when we hear more about Overlord aka Cloverfield 4. Stay tuned!

Synopsis:

On the eve of D-Day, American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success. But as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. They find themselves fighting against supernatural forces, part of a Nazi experiment.
