Some more casting news is coming in for Mick Garris’ latest Stephen King television adaptation, Bag of Bones for A&E. We can already hear the cougars growling about past crushes, etc. Read on!
According to EW Jason Priestley has been cast in the project, playing the main character’s literary agent. The news comes after Priestley just joined the cast of another cable project based on a King novel — Syfy’s “Haven”. He joins Melissa George, Pierce Brosnan, Annabeth Gish, William Schallert, and Anika Noni Rose in the four-hour long project, which continues to shoot in Nova Scotia with a wrap set for September 28th. Garris is directing from a script by Matt Venne.
Bag of Bones is based on a Stephen King novel about a writer (Brosnan) trying to recover from the death of his wife. A dream inspires him to return to the couple’s lakeside retreat in western Maine, where he becomes involved in a custody battle between the daughter of an attractive young widow (George) and the child’s enormously wealthy grandfather while dealing with mysterious ghostly visitations, ever-escalating nightmares, and the realization that his late wife still has something to tell him.
More as it comes!
