The Conjuring 2 Spin-Off The Nun’s Release Date Pushed Back Two Months
Looks like the release date shuffles keep on coming as today we have news that Warner Bros. and New Line have pushed back the date on Corin Hardy’s The Conjuring spin-off, The Nun.
Originally the film was set to open on July 13, but now Deadline is reporting that the studio is pushing the film to September 7th, no doubt in an attempt to get some of that Stephen King’s IT money as that film was released last year in early September as well.
I don’t mind waiting another two months for The Nun, personally. I’m just sitting here twiddling my thumbs anyhow, waiting for that eventual The Crooked Man spin-off. That’s my kind of flick!
Which The Conjuring 2 spin-off are you more excited about The Nun or The Crooked Man? If either. Let us know below.
The Nun is directed by Corin Hardy from a script by James Wan and Gary Dauberman and stars Taissa Farmiga, Bonnie Aarons, Demian Bichir, Charlotte Hope, Jonas Bloquet, and Ingrid Bisu.
The film hits on September 7, 2018.
Synopsis:
The story centers on a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania taking her own life, with a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret and confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun from The Conjuring 2.
