According to Bloody Disgusting Timothy Spall (Wake Wood) will portray Hitchcock in the BBC Two production of The Girl, which also stars January Jones (“Mad Men,” X-Men: First Class) as Tippi Hedren in the biopic that could lens as early as this year.
The film, penned by Gwenyth Hughes, follows the life and relationship of Alfred Hitchcock and his discovery Tippi Hedren (originally played by Melanie Daniels), the turmoil that surrounded them while making The Birds (1963), and how his ultimate failure nearly ended up destroying both their careers.
