Wild Eye Releasing Acquires Slasher Film Don’t Look
Wild Eye Releasing has announced its acquisition of director/co-producer Luciana Faulhaber’s debut, Don’t Look. The film centers on five young adults from New York City who decide to embark on a rural getaway for their Thanksgiving vacation, but as you can expect with this being a slasher movie, they soon find themselves being targeted by a murderous psycho.
In an official press release, Faulhaber, who also plays a role in the film, described how Don’t Look will inject current events into the traditional horror genre tropes, saying:
“It was important for me to create work that shows the female characters as they are in real life – none of us are waiting to be saved by some prince charming.”
Don’t Look will have its LA premiere at the North Hollywood CineFest before playing at the Rock Horror Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro. It will then be making its way onto VOD later this year, with specific details set to be announced in the coming months.
Along with Faulhaber, the film stars Jeff Berg, Jarrod Robbins, Curtis K. Case, Lindsay Eshelman, and Javier E. Gómez. The first trailer and images from the picture are included below.
