There’s precious little horror on the small screen. Thanks to AMC and “The Walking Dead,” some networks may be a bit more willing to push the proverbial envelope when it comes to new and original programming. And then there’s ABC and their upcoming “Haunted.”
The network, along with director Jon Turteltaub’s Junction Entertainment and producer Adam Goldworm (he of “Masters of Horror” infamy), is readying a supernatural, character-driven story in which a paranormal investigator finds herself assisting the living with “letting go” of a spirit on a weekly basis. So kind of like “The Ghost Whisperer” in reverse then?
We’ll bring you more on this one soon, including whatever late 20s/early 30s and much too attractive to be a believable ghost hunter actress nabs the part. I’m sure this one’s an automatic lock to run at least four seasons on ABC. Hell, I can practically hear my mother programming it on her TiVo now.
