IT’s Bill Skarsgard and It Follows’ Maika Monroe Are Villains in New Dark Comedy

It Follows

Holy creepy hell if this isn’t some of the best casting I’ve heard of since Pacino went head to head with DeNiro in Michael Mann’s Heat.

Okay, that might be a bit of hyperbole, but still, when you combine the forces of Pennywise with Jay from IT Follows, you’ve got the exact recipe for a flick I’ll be seeing opening night.

Yes, Bill Skarsgard (It) and Maika Monroe (IT Follows) will star in their upcoming darkly comedic thriller Villains from directors Dan Berk and Robert Olsen.

Berk and Olsen previously wrote, produced and directed Body for Oscilloscope Laboratories, and directed The Stakelander, a sequel to Jim Mickle’s Stake Land. The duo will direct Villains from their own script which was on the 2016 Black List.

Tim and Trevor White are producing for Star Thrower, along with production head Allan Mandelbaum, and Garrick Dion is producing for The Realm. BRON’s Aaron L. Gilbert and Creative Wealth Media’s Jason Cloth are executive producers. Rick Rickertsen and Mary Solomon are co-producing. Endeavor Content is representing North American rights.

Synopsis:

A pair of amateur criminals break into a suburban home and stumble upon a dark secret and two sadistic homeowners who will do anything to keep it from getting out.
