Chicago Rock Station Signs Off in the Most Metal Way Before Christian Channel Takes Over

If you’re going to go out, go out in a blaze of fire and brimstone!

Chicago’s WLUP, a long-running classic rock station, was replaced by a Christian music channel yesterday, as reported by UltimateClassicRock. Instead of going quietly into the night, WLUP decided to crank their amps to 11, raise up their metal horns, and end their over 40-year reign in the most metal way possible: they blasted Motley Crue’s “Shout at the Devil”, Iron Maiden’s “The Number of the Beast”, and AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” as their last songs before signing off. Up the irons, my friends. Up the fucking irons.

Video of this event taking place was taken and can be seen below.

While WLUP is no longer broadcasting on Chicago’s airwaves, you can still stream them online.
