Some pretty neat news coming out of the Toronto Film Festival pertaining to the Amy Heckerling horror comedy Vamps! The flick has scored a gaggle of foreign distro, and with any luck before the weekend’s up we’ll have some domestic news as well.

According to Variety, Parlay Films announced Saturday at the Toronto Film Festival that it had closed deals on Germany with Wild Bunch and France with Metropolitan. Other foreign sales include eOne in Benelux, Tanweer in India/Pakistan, Swen in Brazil, Leopolis in CIS/Baltic States, SPI for Eastern Europe, Village Roadshow in Greece/Cyprus, Myndform in Iceland, PT Amero in Indonesia, CineSky for Intl Airlines, Shapira Films LTD. via Fintage in Israel, Eagle in the Middle East, Pioneer in the Philippines, PRIS Audiovisuais in Portugal, Scanbox in Scandinavia, Shaw in Singapore, Nu Metro in South Africa, Ascot in Switzerland, Serenity in Taiwan, and Pinema in Turkey.

Alicia Silverstone, Krysten Ritter, Sigourney Weaver, Richard Lewis, Kristen Johnston, Wallace Shawn, Justin Kirk, Dan Stevens, Marilu Henner, Zak Orth, Malcolm McDowell, and Todd Barry are all on tap for a little blood-sucking madness and mayhem in the flick that finds McDowell playing Vlad the Impaler, aka Dracula!

Written and directed by Heckerling, Vamps tells the modern day tale of two young beautiful female vampires (Alicia Silvestone, Krysten Ritter) living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize her immortality.

More on this one soon!
