The Langoliers’ Bronson Pinchot a Villain In Netflix’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch Reboot?
I still have yet to watch “Riverdale” but I’ve been hearing good things about it for what feels like forever now. It is with this in mind that I’m also keeping an eye out for all news surrounding Netflix’s upcoming gritty reboot of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” (yeah, you read that right).
Speaking of Netflix’s “Sabrina“ today we have word via THR that Bronson Pinchot has just joined the cast, alongside The Blackcoat’s Daughter star Kiernan Shipka as the titular Sabrina, as “George Hawthorne, Baxter High’s villainous, puritanical principal. He is a constant thorn in Sabrina’s side and is always trying to thwart her escapades.”
You might know Pinchot as Balki from “Perfect Strangers” or possibly the cokehead from True Romance. But all of us here know the man as the crazy-ass Craig Toomey in Stephen King and director Tom Holland’s The Langoliers!
What do you think of this cast? Let us know below.
Picked up with a two-season, straight-to-series order, the project reimagines the origin and adventures of the comic book character “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” as a dark coming-of-age tale that traffics in horror, the occult and witchcraft.
It is described as in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.
Synopsis:
Sabrina Spellman (Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka) wrestling to reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while fighting the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit. She is an empowered young woman who is just beginning her dark education as a sorceress, even as she tries to maintain a normal life as a sophomore at Baxter High. Intelligent, compassionate and brave to the point of recklessness, Sabrina is all that stands between us and the forces of darkness that threaten our world.
