Small Update on The Exorcist; Series Still ‘On the Bubble’
The FOX series “The Exorcist” has enjoyed a lot of love from horror fans, especially after its recently concluded stellar second season, so of course we’ve all been waiting to hear if the network is going to renew it for a third. Nothing concrete has been decided yet, but we do have a small update for you…
Per Deadline, FOX Chairman Gary Newman recently addressed the Innovative TV Conference in Jerusalem and revealed that airing the series on Friday nights was “tough for that show. We had hoped that we would be able to tap into a moviegoing crowd who didn’t want to go out to the movies… and we did get some viewership. I thought the show was incredibly well produced, the stories were great.” So, maybe it’ll be renewed? Newman didn’t offer much encouragement, other than saying it’s “clearly a show that’s on the bubble.”
So maybe if we apply some pressure on the powers-that-be via social media, etc., we can move the needle a bit and get a third season after all? No telling, but it certainly couldn’t hurt! Let us know what you think below!
