The Grudge Reboot Adds Demian Bichir and John Cho
A week or so ago we let you guys know that the upcoming reboot of The Grudge was seeking to cast Andrea Riseborough (Mandy) as “a single mother who’s also a police detective.”
Today we have news that not only is Riseborough confirmed, but Demian Bichir (The Nun) has also joined the film, and as of today Variety reports that John Cho will be battling the curse too.
Both Bichir and Cho are solid actors so I’m actually looking forward to the film at this point. Especially considering it is being written and directed by Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes of My Mother).
Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will produce the redux for Ghost House, with Nathan Kahane and Erin Westerman executive producing for Good Universe alongside Schuyler Weiss, Roy Lee, and Doug Davison. Romel Adam will oversee the movie for Ghost House and Brady Fujikawa for Good Universe.
The reboot begins shooting in May.
Not much else is known about the upcoming reboot at this point, but we will keep you guys posted. Until then let us know what you think of another The Grudge film below!
