1970’s Shockers Grizzly and The Reincarnation of Peter Proud Coming to 4K Blu-ray

It sure seems like anything and everything is getting a 4K Blu-ray of late. So how about a pair of unlikely shockers from the 1970’s: Grizzly and The Reincarnation of Peter Proud?

Do you already own the DVD of William Girdler’s Grizzly? How about the collector’s edition Blu-ray of Grizzly? Or the re-release of that Grizzly Blu-ray? Or even the Rifftrax version of Grizzly? Now you can toss them all in the trash because a 4K Remaster of the ultimate killer bear flick is coming to Blu-ray.

Girdler’s 1976 “Jaws in the woods” thriller Grizzly stars Christopher George, Andrew Prine, and Richard Jaeckel battling a humongous hungry grizzly bear.

Synopsis:
A fifteen-foot grizzly bear figures out that humans make for a tasty treat. As a park ranger tries rallying his men to bring about the bear’s capture or destruction, his efforts are thwarted by the introduction of dozens of drunken hunters into the area.

Scorpion Releasing has announced plans to unleash a 4K Remaster Blu-ray of Grizzly for the summer of 2018. The 4K Remaster will be struck from an interpositive, with over 50 hours of extensive color correction completed exclusively for this release. In addition, the disc will include a new commentary track with film historian Lee Gambin.
