Shane Black’s The Predator Is Being Converted to 3D
It was just earlier this week that we let you guys know that co-writer Fred Dekker (Night of the Creeps, The Monster Squad) finds the body count contained within director Shane Black’s reboot of Predator to be “alarming”, and today we have another (kinda) cool update.
Evidently, Dekker has also just confirmed on Facebook that The Predator will be converted and released in 3D. I’m not too sure how much this matters to me as I basically gave up on 3D a few years back after one too many Transformers sequels, but I guess it is good to know none the less. We always have the option, you know?
What do you think of Shane Black’s The Predator being converted to 3D? Do you still dig 3D flicks? Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
The Predator stars Thomas Jane, Edward James Olmos, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski, Augusto Aguilera, and Keegan-Michael Key.
Black is directing from a script by Fred Dekker. John Davis, Joel Silver, and Lawrence Gordon — who produced the original — are producing. The Predator comes out September 14, 2018.
Predator (1987) synopsis:
Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a soldier of fortune, is hired by the U.S. government to secretly rescue a group of politicians trapped in Guatemala. But when Dutch and his team, which includes weapons expert Blain (Jesse Ventura) and CIA agent George (Carl Weathers), land in Central America, something is gravely wrong. After finding a string of dead bodies, the crew discovers they are being hunted by a brutal creature with superhuman strength and the ability to disappear into its surroundings.
