Pretty Much Nowhere is Safe in These Clips From A Quiet Place

Emily Blunt in A QUIET PLACE, from Paramount Pictures.

Coming to theaters next week is Paramount’s A Quiet Place, which follows a family that must remain silent in order to live in a world plagued by creatures that attack based on sound. Directed by John Krasinski, the movie has been making wave after wave since its world premiere at SXSW this year. Having seen it, I implore everyone who reads this to see it in theaters. The experience is simply incredible as the amount of work put into the sound design is staggering, not to mention the audience experience of everything that unfolds across the screen.

A pair of new clips have been released ahead of the film’s release but I don’t really recommend watching them. It’s not that they give away anything too shocking (neither is very spoiler-y) but the impact of these scenes is significantly lessened by not being a part of the whole. Out of context, they simply don’t have the same gravitas as in the moment. So, if you want to watch them, they’re below and available for you to see. But I strongly urge you to skip everything about this movie until you can see it in theaters.

In the modern horror thriller A Quiet Place, a family of four must navigate their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threaten their survival.
If they hear you, they hunt you.

Written and directed by John Krasinksi, A Quiet Place stars Krasinski alongside Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe. It was produced by Andrew Form and Brad Fuller of Platinum Dunes.
