Hulu Dumps Joe Hill’s Locke & Key, But There’s Still Hope For the Series!
Recently Andy Muschietti (IT) directed a new pilot for Hulu’s proposed TV show based on Joe Hill’s hit graphic novel series, “Locke & Key“. But now it looks like Hulu will be passing on the series. Which sucks.
But wait… there’s still hope!
The other day series co-star Samantha Mathis (Super Mario Bros., Broken Arrow) talked a bit about the show with Cultured Vultures and told them that while the series has been dumped by Hulu, there is still a chance it may be picked up by another service.
“I did a pilot for Hulu called ‘Locke and Key,’ but it didn’t get picked up by Hulu,” Mathis said. “It’s getting shopped around to Amazon and Netflix and Apple and everyone right now. Who knows? Maybe that will end up someplace.”

The pilot is directed by Andy Muschietti (IT) and stars Frances O’Connor, Danny Glover, Jack Mulhern, Jackson Robert Scott, Megan Charpentier, Owen Teague, and Nate Corddry. Carlton Cuse (“Bates Motel”) acts as showrunner.
“Locke and Key” will (hopefully) air somewhere in 2018.
Synopsis:
