Blumhouse’s The Purge TV Series Adds Amanda Warren and Colin Woodell
Last month we let you guys know that Blumhouse’s upcoming TV series based on The Purge had cast its leads with Gabriel Chavarria (War For the Planet of the Apes) and Jessica Garza.
Today we have a cast update via Deadline that confirms Amanda Warren (“The Leftovers”) and Colin Woodell (Unsane) are set for starring roles in the upcoming USA Network and Syfy series.
The site goes on to tell us that Warren will play Jane, “A dedicated and hardworking finance professional who is convinced that she’s hit an insurmountable glass ceiling at her firm, so she hires a Purge-assassin.”
While Woodell will portray Rick, who “after a lifetime of bootstrapping, is finally climbing the social ladder. But currying favor with the pro-Purge elite presents unexpected challenges to his marriage, as he and his wife must agree on what moral price they’ll pay to achieve the American dream.”

Franchise creator James DeMonaco executive produces with Blumhouse, Platinum Dunes, and Sebastien K. Lemercier. The series is set to launch alongside The First Purge this summer.
